⚠️ Terms & Conditions — Review Before Submitting
These Terms govern the supply and installation of water softening equipment by Simply Softeners to the customer. By accepting this quotation the customer agrees to be bound by these Terms.
1.1 This quotation is valid for 30 days from the date of issue. 1.2 The price stated is the total price for the specified unit and installation. No additional charges will be applied unless unforeseen complications arise, in which case the customer will be notified and written agreement obtained before proceeding. 1.3 Payment is due in full on the day of installation unless otherwise agreed in writing.
2.1 Installation will be carried out by a qualified Simply Softeners installer. The customer agrees to provide safe and reasonable access on the agreed date. 2.2 Any change to the installation location after survey may incur additional charges. 2.3 We will endeavour to complete installation in a single visit. Return visits due to unforeseen circumstances will be arranged at no additional charge unless caused by access issues outside our control. 2.4 The customer is responsible for ensuring the installation area is clear and accessible on the day.
3.1 All units carry a 5-year manufacturer's warranty on valve parts. Workmanship is covered for 12 months from the date of installation. 3.2 Warranty does not cover damage from misuse, inadequate salt levels, unauthorised modification, or third-party damage. 3.3 Salt top-ups are the customer's responsibility.
4.1 A water softener exchanges calcium and magnesium for a small amount of sodium. Softened water is safe for most healthy adults.
4.2 Softened water is NOT recommended without a bypass tap for: making up infant formula; individuals on a clinically supervised low-sodium diet; those with kidney disease, heart conditions, or hypertension where sodium is medically restricted.
4.3 Simply Softeners strongly recommends installation of a dedicated drinking water bypass tap. 4.4 The customer acknowledges they have been clearly informed of these recommendations by the installer prior to installation being agreed.
4.5 IF THE CUSTOMER DECLINES A BYPASS TAP, THE CUSTOMER ACCEPTS FULL AND SOLE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS DECISION. SIMPLY SOFTENERS ACCEPTS NO LIABILITY WHATSOEVER FOR ANY HEALTH ISSUES ARISING FROM CONSUMPTION OF SOFTENED WATER WHERE A BYPASS TAP WAS OFFERED AND DECLINED.
4.6 The customer's choice is recorded on this quotation and constitutes evidence that the customer was offered and informed about the bypass tap option.
5.1 The customer may cancel within 14 days of accepting this quotation without charge under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, provided installation has not commenced. 5.2 Cancellation after installation has commenced may incur charges for work completed and materials installed.
6.1 Total liability shall not exceed the total price paid. 6.2 Simply Softeners is not liable for indirect losses or losses arising from pre-existing plumbing faults not identified at survey. 6.3 Nothing limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
7.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
